About Me
I grew up in Oakland, California, but I’ve lived in Minneapolis since 1993 because I actually like snow. I also appreciate the Twin Cities’ vibrant literary and artistic communities.
My career in book publishing started in 1998. After working as an in-house editor at a small publisher, I cofounded a partnership business providing book production and consulting services to authors and publishers. In 2018 I launched my solo business, Wright for Writers LLC.
My perspective as an editor and writing coach has been enriched by creative writing classes at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis. I gained insights into the creative process that help me work more effectively with writers.
Some of my free time is spent in volunteering and activism. I’ve served on a number of boards, including Pfund Foundation and the Bisexual Organizing Project, and I’ve been a volunteer mentor to Minneapolis public high school students.
I’m a big fan of women’s sports. My favorite teams are the Minnesota Lynx and the University of Minnesota women’s hockey team.
I share an old house in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood of Minneapolis with my partner, Anne, and our four cats.
